But he didn't want just the typical 'fantasy Orthodox priest', and we found that idea especially interesting. Although the Tzarev Empire is inspired by Eastern European cultures such as Ukraine, Poland and Lithuania, this time we wanted to look a little further back in history and explore something closer to the ancient Slavic faiths. That's how Odrik came to be, with a slightly more ancestral and shamanic feel. And while we were working on the character, another idea came up: why not give him a little bear as a companion? And that's how Mishka was born.
